Updates

We add new stories and updates as they occur.

For many of us, drinking alcohol started out as a luxury but eventually became a necessity the more we drank, the more we needed to drink. Putting down the bottle didn't help either, it just made us stressed out and angry or depressed most of the time. Over a decade ago, I visited a 12-step meeting (AA) and took some of the group's suggestions to deal with my struggle to manage my drinking. I never intended to stop, just needed some relief as problems mounted and I kept being late for work/hungover.  By taking the suggestions found in the group and in the book Alcoholics Anonymous, I've found a way to live a sober life one day at a time rather than trying to quit for good or some long future timeframe.
